TWENTY16 presented by Sho-Air announced its UCI road team roster for 2015 with renewed depth of talent after a 2014 season that was focused largely on development.

With the program in its tenth year, TWENTY16 presented by Sho-Air has targeted the Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships with riders focusing on selection to the National Team for both the elite and junior categories. The team will also support riders preparing for both the 2015 Track and Para World Championships. The team’s unique junior development program will see the integration of their top juniors into the squad for select NRC events- the first being Redlands Classic where the team will field a mixed roster of elite and 17-18 junior athletes with the goal of providing as many opportunities to these top-ranked juniors in preparation for the Richmond Junior Road World Championships.

Climbing specialist Andrea Dvorak returns to the team in 2015 – having ridden for the organization during the 2011, 2012, 2013 seasons. The Virginian resident is excited about her return to their ranks, “TWENTY16 presented by Sho-Air is a program that has experienced great success from the junior to Olympic level” expressed Dvorak. “Every success inspires the team to do greater things and views its horizon as endless.”

The team is also adding horsepower with the addition of Carmen Small – just selected to race the Team Pursuit at the World Cup in Cali Columbia. “I am so excited to work with TWENTY16 this next season. It is a perfect fit for my goals on and off the bike, their relationship and importance with continuing education is right inline with my passion and back ground as an educator” commented Small, ” TWENTY16 is a team that offers flexibility and is a multi discipline team (Road and Track) and they will be a key part to my success and making it to the Olympics.”

Team Director Mari Holden is very upbeat and confident about the roster, “We have really strengthened our core group of athletes this year. I’m looking forward to having the proven talent of Lauren Hall, Carmen Small and Andrea Dvorak to compliment our developing athletes. It is going to be a good mix of proven winners and raw talent. I couldn’t ask for a better group of women to direct.”

Hall comes to the team after a stellar 2014 season, winning Gent Wevelgem and a podium at Parx Casino Philly Cycling Classic, “With the world championships being held in Richmond, VA and 2016 summer Olympics coming up pretty fast,” stated Hall, “I knew it was time to take full control of my schedule and that is what TWENTY16 has offered me, along with excellent equipment and a great group of teammates and staff that are experienced in the pressures leading up to such monumental events.”
