Hamilton, MT – The FV Ambassador program is new for femme/VÉLO as they expand their organization and event beginning this year. The program is similar to other brand ambassador programs with the goal of connecting directly with customers, and creating authentic relationships between customer and brand.

The FV Ambassador Team will be responsible for growing women’s cycling and the femme/VÉLO brand in their communities through group rides, clinics, and other events leading up to the annual femme/VÉLO in Whitefish, MT, July 1-3, 2016. The team will formally come together for the first time in July at the event. In addition to taking part in the all-women’s gran fondo, a team ride on the famed Going-to-the-Sun Road is planned, along with a mini-training camp. The FV Ambassador Team members will be introduced to the public at the Women in Cycling Roundtable that takes place on the opening night of the three-day event.

The FV Ambassador Team is critical to growing the femme/VÉLO brand and most importantly growing women’s cycling. “We started this event to give women an opportunity to ride together without feeling intimated especially in a group dynamic like a gran fondo,” says Nicole Adamson, founder and executive director of the organization. “That’s a huge barrier that keeps women from riding and we wanted to eliminate that. Our FV Ambassadors are women who are dedicated to getting more women on their bikes. They’re already active in their cycling communities, and each of them, while very different and unique individuals, has a shared passion for bicycling.”

The 2016 FV Ambassador Team Roster represents women from across the country including Massachusetts, Illinois, Montana, Washington, and California.femme/VÉLO is hoping to add to the team before the event in July. Information about how to become an FV Ambassador and applications are available on the organization’s website. The application process is open until April 15.

So far the program has worked. “Last year the attendee that traveled furthest from their home was from Victor, MT, which is about 165 miles from Whitefish. This year we have riders coming all the way from Maryland. And that is all through the work of our Ambassadors,” says Ms. Adamson.
